A Study in Individuality
Each portrait I create is a celebration of that person, and what makes them uniquely beautiful. With just paper and graphite, I attempt to capture what makes someone them— a smile, a glance, the way they tilt their head. Portraits are one of my favorite types of artworks to create; I always enjoy getting to know the subject as I draw.

Unique Artworks for Unique People
Connect with me today to make your vision come to life. Let’s work together to show the beauty of a loved one through a portrait, or special memory through an illustration. I’ll listen to what you love and then make it visible.

What types of art do you create?
I draw in a variety of mediums including graphite, charcoal, ink, and digital. I love to draw natural beauty, especially in portraits. Check out my gallery page for examples of my work!
What is your artistic process?
Every drawing goes through many phases before it’s finished. I often do studies of subjects if I need to draw something new to me. (I do this with animals all the time! I have pages and pages of just llamas.) The first sketches are to get the composition right, so my whole drawing is balanced. Then the following 2 or 3 or 7 are gradual refinements.
How can I commission a piece of art from you?
To commission a piece, please reach out through email to constancetaylorart@gmail.com. Include a description of the subject, the medium (that’s inks, pencils, or digital), and the size.
What is your pricing for a commission?
I price my work based on how long the final piece takes me, and my rate is $50/hr. Study sketches and conversations we have are all part of the process, but don’t factor in to that time. Only time spent working on the piece you actually receive is on the clock. I give a quote for each commission, but actual prices vary.
